Michigan vs. Ohio War (Round 2): Why Michigan Would Kick Ohio's A**

The Michigan-Ohio War of 1835 may have ended over 185 years ago, but the rivalry between these two states is still going strong. And let's face it, if there was ever a rematch, Michigan would come out on top.

First of all, let's talk about the history of the Michigan-Ohio rivalry. Back in 1835, there was a boundary dispute between Michigan and Ohio over a strip of land known as the Toledo Strip. Both states claimed the land as their own, and things got heated. So heated, in fact, that a group of Michigan militia members marched into the Toledo area and burned down a surveyor's house. The conflict eventually came to a peaceful resolution when Michigan agreed to give up the Toledo Strip in exchange for the western Upper Peninsula. But let's be real, if things had escalated into a full-blown war, Michigan would have come out on top.

First of all, Michigan has the upper hand when it comes to geography. With the Great Lakes on its doorstep, Michigan has a major advantage in terms of water resources. Ohio, on the other hand, is mostly landlocked, with only the Ohio River and the Cuyahoga River, which famously caught on fire multiple times in the past. Not exactly a resource to be proud of. And let's be honest, the Ohio River is no Great Lake. Michigan could easily launch amphibious assaults on Ohio's coastal cities, while Ohio would struggle to do the same.

Let's talk about food. Ohio may have the "famously mid" Cincinnati chili, but have you tried Detroits pizza? Shawarma from Dearborn? Trust me throwing chilli on spaghetti and boiled hotdogs is nothing to be proud of. Are you guys okay? Are you sure that the people of Ohio shouldn't be the one fighting a civil war?

But let's not forget about the cultural differences between the two states. Michigan is known for being tough and gritty, with a no-nonsense attitude that comes from living in a state with such harsh winters. Ohio, on the other hand, is often seen as soft and a bit too eager to please. Michigan's hard-edged personality would give it an advantage in any sort of physical altercation.

So there you have it, folks. Michigan would win in a Michigan vs. Ohio war, no question about it. But let's be real: we'd rather just share some of our craft beer and watch a Red Wings game with our neighbors to the south. After all, we're all Midwesterners at heart.
